My love of photography started early in childhood, when I would collect and play with film cameras. The marriage of art and technology, the way the camera could seemingly freeze time and immortalize
moments. I knew I wanted to be a professional photographer.
After studying political science in university, I worked in the field of geopolitics, which gave me the opportunity to see and experience the world in a very unique way. I fell in love with travel, fell in love with experiencing everything the world had to offer. I knew I had to find a way to combine my passions of photography and travel to create art that moved and inspired me and those around me.
This journey heavily informs my photographic style, which I would describe as fine art forward, with a photojournalistic element that focuses on the dramatic, dynamic, and exotic.
About My Style
Timeless. No fads, no trends. No batch editing. No presets.
I began my photography journey decades ago. I drew my inspiration from and developed my style around the classic slide films of old, namely Fuji Velvia and Kodak Tri-X. Punchy and intensely saturated color photographs with rich magenta tones. Timeless black and white photographs with salt-and-pepper tones and fine-yet-pronounced grain structures.
I don't follow the trends; I don't desaturate my greens. I don't use presets. I don't batch edit. Each photograph is individually and painstakingly edited.
This is the artistic passion, discipline, and attention to detail that I will bring to your project or once-in-a-lifetime event.

My philosophy with photography is born out of a deep passion and respect for the medium and the process that drives it. This is not business first, photography second; the photographs and their artistic integrity are central to my ethos and identity as an artist and professional photographer. The moment this changes and becomes business first, photography second, is the moment I hang up my hat and do something else. This uncompromising artistic ethos means I'm sometimes selective in the projects I choose to accept. It also affords me the freedom to be flexible if I find a project creatively unique or inspiring.
That doesn't mean that professionalism isn't paramount; professionalism is vital to achieving the artistic results I require and you deserve. You have invested time, money, and energy to get to your destination; it's a spatial and temporal culmination of hopes, dreams, and efforts. It deserves respect and professionalism in addition to artistry. I will bring that professionalism to your special moment.
